I've experimented significantly with each of the features and functions. Overall this is a very good set at a very good price, and the picture is beautiful. However I dock 3 stars for the following reasons. First, there are some feature limitations I find very unfortunate. The set has no analog audio output and no speaker outputs, meaning without a digital amp you are stuck with tiny built-in speakers. Second, there are a number of bugs and features that do not work properly (as of firmware v2.05). First, the ambient light sensor creates a super-dim picture in any lighting environment. You can make it slightly less "super-dim" by first setting the manual backlight control to max before enabling it, but it will still be quite dim under most lighting condition. Also, the DCR function is incompatible with most digital inputs. With it enabled, the screen fades randomly in and out from completely black during movies or when attempting to use... I got it home, mounted it on the wall, and as soon as I turned on the tv I noticed a bright green dot in the upper left hand corner of the tv. Dead Pixel. It must have been a group of them because it was really bright. I took the tv back first thing this morning and got the same model. Pluged it in this time before hanging it and found three smaller, but noticable green dots scattered across the screen. Took it back and bought a Samsung that is just beautiful. I have a Samsung in the living room, but wanted to go a little cheaper for the game room. Both of my Samsungs are amazing. Product Description
This is a very substantial mount with Dual arms and heavy gauge steel. The arms extend over 20" from the wall yet fold to less than 4.25". Even at full extension, this mount has very little sag or twist.
It is rated for up to 165lbs and most displays 65" and smaller weigh under 100lbs.
The unit has dual tilt adjustment knobs and it will tilt forward or back 15 degrees. The wall plate is 27.5" wide and has wide slots making it easy to mount into standard 16" studs even if they are not exactly 16" apart.
The universal design will fit any display with a hole pattern up to 26.3" wide and 17" tall. The wall plate is 1/8" thick and very stable and includes large center hole for cable pass-though into the wall. This mount will swivel approximately 180 degrees depending on the size of your display. Dual TV safety screws are included to prevent accidental liftoff of the display. It was easy enough to mount to the wall but if you are not good with tools seek experienced assistance. You will need someone to hold it up for you unless you are good at this sort of thing. The hardest part was hanging the TV and that was only due to the weight of it. Note: Make sure you have wall studs with 16" centers if mounting to drywall!! I bought it not realizing I had 24" centers on that one wall. There is also a good reason why this TV is slower than others and that's because this TV needs a very specific processor in order to do what it was made to do.
